Beshire is a small hobby kennel located in
San Diego, California.
Our love of Labradors grew from the purchase
of our first Labrador
in 1974 and resulted in an interest in showing,
and eventually breeding in the early 90’s.
It is a hobby, but one that we take very seriously.
We show our dogs in
conformation and sometimes obedience, but
first and foremost
they are a part of our family, and live and
sleep in our home.
We breed a litter occasionally, when we would
like to have
a puppy of our own to go forward within our
breeding program.
The rest of our puppies are placed as companions
with wonderful, carefully screened individuals
and families.
We strive to produce healthy Labradors that
are sound and correct
in temperament, conformation, working abilities
and breed type
(the beautiful head, coat, and tail that make
them
a Labrador and distinguish them from other
breeds).
Some of our dogs compete in the show ring and
obedience trials,
others hunt with the weekend hunter, and several
are
“Service Dogs’ for Canine Support Teams.
(Service Dogs are dogs that assist individuals
that have disabilities other than blindness)
The dogs that we use in our breeding program
have the appropriate
clearances which you will see listed on their
individual pages
(OFA, ACVO etc.)
The learning process never ends and we believe
it is important for a
breeder to stay actively involved with their
regional breed club.
We are founding members of the San Diego Labrador
Retriever Club,
and members of the National Labrador Retriever
Club,
Labrador Retriever Club of Southern California,
and the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc.
Please feel free to contact us for more information
about our dogs.
